The 9th IDSS proved to be a very successful meeting, exceeding all expectations of the organizers. Attendance was up on previous years (695 participants), with a remarkable attendance from Europe and North America.

Next year the IDSS celebrates its 20th anniversary. The program will be modified according to feedback received from participants in the 9th meeting, with further emphasis on educational activities
